The Purcellville Police Department, in partnership with the Purcellville Cannons, are proud to support local students by collecting these much-needed supplies, starting July 1, 2022 through August 10, 2022. The Purcellville Police Department will have a collection box in the lobby for residents to donate school supplies. On July 8, 2022, members of the Purcellville Police Department will be participating in a Collection Kickoff event at the Purcellville Cannons game scheduled for 7:00 p.m., with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. We will have multiple drop boxes, an information table, and free Slurpee coupons for the first fifty attendees to donate supplies. The Cannons will also continue to collect school supplies at each home game in July, with collection boxes located at the stadium entrance. National Night Out (NNO) in Purcellville will take place on August 2, 2022 between 5:30 PM and 8:30 PM. The Purcellville Police Department would like to invite our neighbors to join us and other first responders for an evening of fellowship and of course fun. Activities will start in the Giant Food Store parking lot at 1000 E Main Street, Purcellville, VA with a Free Family Picnic from 5:30 to 6:00 PM; followed by a caravan of first responders through town to various neighborhoods hosting events, and finishing at the Loudoun Valley Community Center at 320 W School Street, Purcellville, VA with an Ice Cream Social and possibly a game of basketball (first responders vs local youth) at 8:00 PM.
