4. Participate in the Purcellville Music and Arts Festival!

   Area artists are invited to showcase their creative works at the Purcellville Music and Arts Festival this year on April 29, 2023! The Purcellville Arts Council hosts the Art Hall inside the Bush Tabernacle from noon to 5 p.m. during the annual festival. The Art Hall features an art exhibit, hands-on activities, local art organizations, art demonstrations, and live music. All artists, professional or hobbyists, are encouraged to enter so that the exhibit will reflect the area’s diverse and rich cultural presence.

27. TERMS AND CONDITIONS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 2023 PURCELLVILLE MUSIC AND ARTS FESTIVAL
29. Please check to indicate your agreement with the General Terms and Conditions below.*

    1. The deadline to submit art for the Purcellville Music and Arts Festival is Monday, April 10, 2023.
    2. There is no fee to enter.
    3. Artists are limited to 2 submissions.
    4. Artwork is juried for acceptance only; there is no competition.
    5. Artwork is accepted on a first-come basis as space is limited.
    6. Submissions may be declined once capacity has been reached.
    7. Everyone is eligible to participate and encouraged to submit their best artwork.
    8. All work must be appropriate to display at a family-oriented festival.
    9. Artwork can be sold when the artist is contacted directly by the purchaser; each artist must make his or her contact information available if his or her artwork is for sale.
    10. Purcellville Arts Council members and volunteers are not responsible for the sale of any artwork at this event.
    11. Artists are responsible for insuring their own work.
    12. No individual or entity connected with the exhibit will be responsible for loss or damage, regardless of the cause.
    13. Images submitted as part of this application may be used to help promote the Purcellville Music and Arts Festival on the event website and social media pages.
    14. Pictures will be taken of the art show and may be used on the Purcellville Music and Arts Festival website and social media pages.
    15. Submission of work for this exhibit will be construed as acceptance of all conditions.
    16. I will bring business cards to be placed on the labels next to my artwork. The business card will have my contact information for people to reach me directly about purchasing the artwork.
    17. I will consider using QR codes on my business cards to help people connect directly to me.
31. Please read and check the boxes below to indicate your agreement with the specifications for submitted artwork.*

    1. Paintings, photographs and drawings may not exceed three feet in any direction; must be wired for hanging (artwork that does not have wire for hanging will not be accepted).
    2. 3D, Quilts, and Sculptures may not exceed six feet in any direction; textiles must be prepared for hanging; sculpture must have a stable base and be able to sit on a table or an artist-provided stand.
    3. Artist must be able to carry artwork into building for placement (there will be no additional labor or hand-trucks available).

    1. Pieces chosen for the show must be delivered to the Bush Tabernacle (skating rink) between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2023
    2. Artwork must be picked up between 5 and 6:30 p.m. on April 29, 2023 because there is another event starting at 7 p.m.. Any pieces left on the property after 6:30 p.m. will be donated to charity.
    3. If you are unable to pick up the art, you may designate someone to do so on your behalf.
    4. No art will be received or returned by mail.
