PURCELLVILLE, Va. September 14, 2018 -
09/07/2018 – 1:47 a.m. Hirst Road/Catoctin Creek Drunk in Public
Police were dispatched to the listed area in reference to a male walking who fit the description from an earlier incident. After further investigation, it was determined the male was under the influence of alcohol and was arrested and transported to the Loudoun County Jail and held until sober.
09/08/18 – 9:51 a.m. 700 Blk. E. Main St. Harassment
Police were contacted by a business owner, which reports on several occasions in the past week a female customer enters the business and harasses employees about their ethnicity. Police assisted the business owner with the town’s trespass notice process and no further police action was needed.
09/12/2018 – 5:00 p.m. 200 Blk. S. Maple Ave. Harassment/Trespassing
Police were contacted for a neighbor dispute. The complainant advised police that his neighbor pulled onto his property and was harassing him about his political signs in the yard. Police assisted the complainant with the town’s trespass notice process and no further police action was needed.
09/13/2018 – 2:27 a.m. 200 Blk. Grassy Ridge Ter. Suspicious Event/Vehicle Pursuit
Police were notified about a suspicious event. Upon police arrival it was learned that the homeowner viewed a male subject run from his driveway. A search of the area was conducted and a white Jeep SUV with Virginia temporary license plate was pulling away from the neighborhood, Police attempted to stop the vehicle and the vehicle fled the area and police discontinued pursuit due to weather conditions. The vehicle was last seen traveling eastbound on Rt. 7 Bypass approaching Rt. 9.
