Purcellville, VA, November 30, 2021— The Town of Purcellville is gearing up for a festive holiday season, and there are many ways for residents and visitors to participate. The celebration kicks off this Friday, December 3 at 6:30 p.m. with the annual Town Tree Lighting at Purcellville Town Hall. The following Saturday, December 11, will be full of activities including the Christmas in Purcellville Parade, a holiday market at Town Hall, activities at the Purcellville Train Station, and the self-guided holiday lights tour. Town Tree Lighting, Friday, December 3, 2021
The Town Tree Lighting will be at Purcellville Town Hall (221 S. Nursery Ave) on Friday, December 3 at 6:30 p.m. We’ll enjoy caroling by Loudoun Valley High School’s VikeSings, a countdown to the lighting of the Town Tree, and a special visit from a well-known resident of the North Pole.

The annual Christmas in Purcellville parade will be held Saturday, December 11 starting at noon. The route is about 2.5 miles long, starting and ending at Blue Ridge Middle School. The parade route will start at Blue Ridge Middle School, turn left onto A Street, left onto Maple Avenue, left onto Main Street, left onto 20th Street, left on A street and conclude at Blue Ridge Middle School.

This year's tour will be self-guided and the map will be available on Saturday, December 11 in the Events and Activities section of the Town Website and on the Facebook pages for the Town of Purcellville, Purcellville Parks and Recreation, and Christmas in Purcellville.

While you’re out and about, look for the hand-painted holiday ornaments that will be displayed throughout the Town. These ornaments were painted by local artists and represent various aspects of our community. They hang on light poles downtown, are placed in front of businesses, and line Main Street. Keep your eyes out for these great holiday decorations!
