PURCELLVILLE, Va. June 18, 2020 — We are excited to announce two new festivities to celebrate Independence Day! The Town of Purcellville invites residents and businesses to participate in the Patriotic Porch Tour and the Patriotic Path to Purcellville Businesses.
Purcellville Patriotic Porch Tour--House Decorating Contest
Residents are encouraged to decorate their homes, front porches and yards for Independence Day. The three homes with the best decorations will receive two $10.00 vouchers to be used at any of the participating businesses in Purcellville. The online application for residents to participate in the contest and be included on the official Patriotic Porch Tour map is due by noon on Sunday, June 28. The map will be published on the Town website so people will be able to walk or drive to see the decorations.
Patriotic Path to Purcellville Businesses
Businesses in Town are also encouraged to decorate for Independence Day and to be included in the official Patriot Path map for patrons to visit on the holiday. To participate, businesses can complete the online application which is due noon on Sunday, June 28, 2020.
