[ARCHIVED] News Release - Town Wide Paving

PURCELLVILLE, Va.  June 11, 2020 — Beginning the week of June 15, 2020, the Town’s Contractor, Stuart M. Perry, will be conducting milling and paving operations on the following streets:  Silcott Springs Road (From A street to Glendale Drive), 32nd Street (from Glendale Drive to Davis Drive), Locust Grove Drive, North 16th street, School Street, South Maple Avenue (from Stephens Drive to G street), and 20th street (from the Tabernacle to A street). The plan is to work on Silcott, 32nd, Locust Grove, and N 16th the week of June 15 and then finish up with School, South Maple, and 20th street the week of June 22.


The work will generally occur Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM.  During the work, the roadway will remain open with temporary lane closures during working hours. Parking will be restricted on the proposed streets as well during working hours.  Total time to complete the milling and paving operations is anticipated to take approximately 2 weeks. In case of inclement weather or unforeseen events, this schedule may change. 


Please be aware of work zones and be alert for changes in vehicular and pedestrian traffic patterns in areas where work is being performed.
