PURCELLVILLE, Va., June 4, 2020 — Attached is the Weekly Coronavirus Update for the Town of Purcellville. This week’s summary of information includes brief reminders from Governor Northam’s recently issued Executive Order 65. The Northern Virginia Region, including Purcellville, was excluded from the entering of Phase Two granted under Executive Order 65 until additional health metrics are met. Therefore, Purcellville remains under the restrictions of Phase One listed in Executive Order 61. Examples of the Phase One guidelines include public or private gatherings of no more than 10 people, restaurants allowed to open outdoor dining at 50% capacity, as well as barber shops and hair salons allowed to reopen under specific restrictions. In addition, Executive Order 63 requiring the wearing of a face covering inside public buildings is also in effect. For questions, please refer to the full text of each order.
Residents are reminded that today, Thursday, June 4th is Election Day for the Town of Purcellville. Voting is being held at the Bush Tabernacle (250 S. Nursery Avenue) from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m. Please remember to wear your face covering for in-person voting. Individuals who have a completed absentee ballot must return their ballot to the Loudoun County Office of Elections (750 Miller Drive, SE, Suite C, Leesburg, VA 20175) no later than 7 p.m. today, June 4th. In addition, restaurant owners who are interested in adding or expanding their outdoor dining options may complete an application, and return it to the Department of Engineering, Planning & Development for review and approval (outdoor_dining@purcellvilleva.gov).
