[ARCHIVED] News Release - Work in the Town's Right of Way Starting May 11, 2020

PURCELLVILLE, Va., May 11, 2020 — During the week of May 11, 2020, Contractors for Lumos Networks, Inc. will be installing fiber optic cables in various locations within the Town’s right-of-way in order to provide certain communications services to the Loudoun County Public Schools, and to other third parties. This work will be ongoing for approximately 2-3 months.


The Contractor anticipates working on S. Orchard Street, East A Street and East Colonial Highway near Harmony Middle School and towards the Town of Purcellville. Work hours in the Town’s right-of-way are limited to between the hours of 8 AM and 4 PM. This work will require lane closures during these hours. Please be aware of work zones and be alert for changes in vehicular and pedestrian traffic patterns in area where work is being performed.


In case of inclement weather or unforeseen events, this schedule may change.
