News Release - Seeking Purcellville Business Partners to Participate in Voucher Program

PURCELLVILLE, VA, April 17, 2020—To support Purcellville’s business community and citizens during the COVID-19 crisis, the Purcellville Town Council established a fund for a voucher program. This program is intended to benefit citizens and stimulate Purcellville businesses impacted by the economic pressures associated with this unprecedented health emergency.

What is the Voucher Program?

The Town of Purcellville will mail two (2) $10.00 vouchers to those who have a Purcellville utility account. Vouchers can be redeemed at participating Town businesses, which can be found through a link on the Town’s COVID-19 webpage, and are valid through December 31, 2020.

How Can My Town Business Participate in the Voucher Program?

SIGN UP ONLINE TO PARTICIPATE - To participate, businesses located within the Purcellville town limits should sign up through the online application. Once an application has been received, the business will be added to the list on the Town’s COVID-19 webpage of participating businesses that are accepting the $10 vouchers. Instructions for businesses to remit the vouchers for reimbursement from the Town of Purcellville will be emailed to applicants. This information will also be available on the webpage.

What Additional Programs are Available?

In addition to the voucher program, the online application includes options for businesses to register for two additional efforts implemented by the Town to support businesses. These include the directory of businesses offering social distancing options and features that are part of the Purcellville Strong initiative on the Purcellville Parks and Recreation Facebook page. Complete the online application to participate in any or all of these efforts.

The Town of Purcellville encourages all businesses and customers to be safe during this health emergency and always follow social distancing protocols recommended by the CDC to reduce transmission of the virus. We recognize this can be difficult for some businesses so we extended the date of this program through December 31, 2020, well past the Governor’s Stay at Home Order.
