PURCELLVILLE, Va. April 1, 2020 — On March 30, 2020, Virginia Governor Ralph Northam issued a statewide Stay-at-Home order, Executive Order 55, to protect the health and safety of Virginians and mitigate the spread of COVID-19. In compliance with this order, the Town of Purcellville is canceling events through that date. The Town events that have been canceled include:

April 26 Nature Walk

May 17 Non-Profit Expo

May 25 Memorial Day Ceremony

May 31 Nature Walk

Though these gatherings have been canceled, the Purcellville Parks and Recreation Division is gearing up to launch a variety of virtual events and activities that will be hosted on the Purcellville Parks and Recreation Facebook page. Additionally, parks and trails in Town remain open for outdoor recreation, including the Chapman DeMary Trail, Dillon’s Woods, and the Suzanne Kane Nature Preserve. Please continue to follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s guidelines for strict social distancing and other preventative measures to protect yourself while in these areas.
