[ARCHIVED] News Release - Volunteers Needed for Town-Wide Clean-Up

PURCELLVILLE, Va. February 14, 2020 —The Town of Purcellville is once again partnering with Keep Loudoun Beautiful for the annual Town-wide clean-up day. It will be held on Saturday, March 21 from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Last year, more than 225 volunteers collected 2,320 pounds of trash and 640 pounds of recycling. The Town of Purcellville invites all citizens, families, individuals, sports teams/organizations, scouts, church groups, and all other volunteers to participate in this beneficial effort to help keep Loudoun beautiful which will focus on roadside and trail clean-up. Volunteers are encouraged to participate by helping maintain the mission of Keep Loudoun Beautiful:


- Maintain the natural beauty and visual quality of Loudoun County

- Encourage and educate citizens to keep Loudoun beautiful

- Promote public awareness of environmental challenges and suggested solutions, like reducing, reusing, and recycling

- Improve County trash disposal and eliminate illegal dumping

The rain/snow date for the clean-up will be Sunday, March 22 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
