CONSTRUCTION TO BEGIN ON THE 32ND & A STREET INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT

 

 

PURCELLVILLE, Va. June 3, 2019 — Beginning the week of June 10, 2019, the Town’s Contractor, M & F Concrete, Inc., will begin work on the 32nd & A Street Intersection Improvements project. Construction will include the installation of a single lane roundabout at the intersection of S. 32nd Street (also known as Silcott Springs Road or Route 690) and A Street. This project is being funded by VDOT Revenue Sharing funds and NVTA funds.


The work will generally occur Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM during the summer months, and 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM once school resumes in late August. During the construction, the roadway will remain open with temporary lane closures during working hours. Total construction time is anticipated to take approximately 7 months. In case of inclement weather or unforeseen events, this schedule may change.


Please be aware of work zones and be alert for changes in vehicular and pedestrian traffic patterns in areas where work is being performed.
