4/5/2019 – 4:42 p.m. 100 Blk. Catoctin Corner Dr. Larceny
Witness reported juveniles stole two stop signs from this location. Suspect vehicle was identified and case is under investigation.
4/7/2019 – 9:35 a.m. 700 Blk. S. 20th St. Narcotics Violation
Officer on patrol investigated a suspicious vehicle. During the investigation suspected marijuana was located. James Aaron Robertson, 26 year old male of no fixed address was arrested for possession of marijuana. He was transported to the Loudoun County Jail where he was released on a promise to appear in court.
4/7/2019 – 12:43 p.m. 600 Blk. E. Main St. Narcotics Violation
Officer on patrol was flagged down by citizen who reported seeing drug paraphernalia in this area. Officer searched the area and located two syringes near the parking lot.
4/8/2019 – 7:14 p.m. 200 Blk. N. Hatcher Ave. Narcotics Violation
Officer on patrol investigated a suspicious vehicle. During the investigation suspected marijuana was located. Case is under investigation and charges are pending.
4/9/2019 – 5:30 a.m. 400 Blk. W. A St. Warrant Service
Officer on patrol stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction. During the investigation the driver was found to have an outstanding warrant and a suspended license. Craig Edward Simms, 56 year old male from Purcellville was arrested for driving on a suspended license and violation of noise ordinance. He was transported to the Loudoun County Jail where he was released on a promise to appear in court.
4/9/2019 – 8:58 a.m. 1000 Blk. E. Main St. Assault
Police were contacted about two males being disorderly in a business. Both males were vendors for the business and had gotten into an argument. Both reported being assaulted by the other. Both were provided information on how to obtain warrants.
4/9/2019 – 11:52 a.m. 700 Blk. E. Main St. Larceny
Police were contacted about a male who was shoplifting from business. James Tucker Cromwell, 20 year old male from Purcellville was arrested for shoplifting and underage possession of alcohol. He was released on a summons to appear in court.
4/9/2019 – 12:03 p.m. 100 Blk. S. Nursery Ave. Stolen Auto
Victim reported that a family member took their vehicle without permission on 4/7/2019 and has not returned the vehicle. Vehicle was located by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office in Lincoln and recovered. Victim did not wish to press charges.
4/9/2019 – 6:56 p.m. 600 Blk. W. Main St. Suspicious Event
Police were contacted about a possible vandalism. Victim reported that the window of their vehicle was damaged. Upon further investigation, glass was shattered from inside the vehicle and appears to be from change in temperature.
4/10/2019 – 3:46 p.m. 200 Blk. N. 21st St. Narcotics Violation
Officer on patrol stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction. During the investigation suspected marijuana was located. Juvenile male was released to a parent. Charges are pending.
