[ARCHIVED] News Release - UPDATE-21st and 23rd Streets Pavement Markings

PURCELLVILLE, Va. December 13, 2018—The Town of Purcellville’s contractor, Mullen’s Markings, was scheduled to paint pavement markings on 21st and 23rd Streets this past week. Due to inclement weather last week in the southern part of the state, the pavement marking work is scheduled to begin on Monday, December 17, 2018. Weather permitting, the project will be finished by the end of the week.

To conduct the pavement marking operations, the contractor will be utilizing flagging operations and have alternating single lanes of traffic. Flagging and alternating single lanes of traffic will be occurring between 9:00am and 3:00pm.

Local residents are asked to be aware of work zones, drive through with caution, watch for turning or stopping vehicles, entering and exiting construction traffic, and to be alert for changes in traffic patterns in areas where the paving is being performed.
