[ARCHIVED] News Release - Decorate by November 26 to be Considered for the Holiday Lights Tours

PURCELLVILLE, Va., November 19, 2018 — In the spirit of the holiday season, the Purcellville Parks and Recreation Advisory Board wants you to light up your neighborhood! Hang your decorations and lights by November 26, 2018, and your house may be selected to be a part of the annual “Holiday Lights Tour.”

The route for the Holiday Lights Trolley Tours will be decided early in December, so have your lights up by the evening of November 26 to be considered. No application is needed. The tours will be held Friday, December 14 from 6 to 9 p.m., and Sunday, December 16 from 5 to 8 p.m. Each 45-minute tour is free, but space is limited and tickets are required. Watch for information in the coming weeks and join us for a ride through Purcellville to look at the beautiful display of lights!

For the second year, Discover Purcellville is sponsoring a holiday lights contest, and will present the first, second, and third place winners with a trophy at a future Town Council meeting.

More information about all of the Christmas in Purcellville festivities, including the tree lighting, parade, Santa’s Visit, the ornament workshop and more is available on the Town of Purcellville website at
