[ARCHIVED] News Release - Town-Wide Painting of Traffic Lines on Roadways

PURCELLVILLE, Va. OCTOBER 1, 2018— Beginning at 8:00 PM Thursday, October 4, the Town of Purcellville’s contractor, Mullen’s Markings, Inc., will be restriping long lines on streets within town limits, including crosswalks. Streets not included in the project include N. Maple Avenue (not needed at this time) and the portion of N. 21st/23rd Street from Main Street to Branbury Glen (scheduled to be repaved).

The work is expected to occur each night between the hours of 8:00 PM – 5:00 AM through the following week, weather permitting.  Expect minimal delays in areas around where the paint truck is working. Please use caution when approaching the working crews and only pass when safe and legal. Residents are asked to be aware of work zones, drive with caution, watch for turning or stopping vehicles including construction equipment, and to be alert for changes in traffic patterns in areas where the marking work is being performed.
