PURCELLVILLE, VA. December 29, 2017— The deadline for local organizations to apply for the Annual Sports League Funding, available through the Purcellville Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, has been extended to January 31, 2018 at 5 p.m. To be eligible for funding, applicant organizations must serve the Town of Purcellville area, have citizens of the Town of Purcellville as players, and provide a letter to the Town from the IRS confirming the organization’s tax exempt status. Priority consideration will be given to sports teams from Purcellville that have an open participation policy where all players are allowed to play regardless of skill level.
Last year, 6 organizations received funds to support their programs, including the Catoctin Basketball Club, the Franklin Park Stingrays, Greater Loudoun Babe Ruth, LoCo Motion, Western Loudoun Girls Softball, and Western Loudoun Volleyball.
