[ARCHIVED] News Release - Coffee with a Cop on August 8, 2017

PURCELLVILLE, Va. July 25, 2017 — On Tuesday August 8, 2017, all community members are invited to attend the “Coffee with a Cop” event at Chick-fil-A from 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM. These events are a meet & greet with local law enforcement and residents to discuss community issues, build relationships, and share a cup of coffee. The focus is to advance the practice of community policing through improving relationships between police officers and community members one cup of coffee at a time!

The event begins at 7:30 a.m. on August 8, 2017, at Chick-Fil-A located at 165 Purcellville Gateway Dr, Purcellville, VA.  If you have questions about this event, please contact the Purcellville Police Department at 540.338.7422, or BDufek@purcellvilleva.gov.   

Coffee with a Cop is a national initiative supported by the United States Department of Justice, Office of Community Oriented Policing Services. “Good relationships are the foundation to good partnerships.  It is my hope that the community always feels comfortable to ask us questions, bring their concerns to us, or simply get to know our officers,” said Chief McAlister.
