[ARCHIVED] News Release - Coffee With a Cop on April 4, 2017

PURCELLVILLE, Va. March 29, 2017 — On Tuesday April 4, 2017 beginning at 7:30 AM, all community members are invited to attend the bi-monthly 2017 “Coffee with a Cop” at Market Street Coffee located at 1020 E. Main Street. The focus is to build a solid foundation for good relationships between Purcellville police officers and community members. This is an informal, neutral space to meet, and officers will be present at the coffee shop until 10:00 AM.
“Good relationships are the foundation to good partnerships. It is my hope that the community always feels comfortable to ask us questions, bring their concerns to us, or simply get to know our officers” said Chief McAlister.
Coffee with a Cop is a national initiative supported by the United States Department of Justice, Office of Community Oriented Policing Services. The program aims to advance the practice of community policing through improving relationships between police officers and community members one cup of coffee at a time!
