PURCELLVILLE, Va. November 15, 2016 — In the spirit of the Holiday season, the Purcellville Parks and Recreation Advisory Board wants you to light up your neighborhood! Hang your decorations and lights, and your house may be selected to be a part of the annual “Holiday Lights Trolley Tour.”
Dates and information to remember for the Holiday Lights Trolley Tours are below:
November 28th - Deadline to be considered for Holiday Lights Trolley Tours. The trolley route will be decided in early December, so have your lights up by the evening of November 28th to be considered. No application needed.
November 30th – Application deadline to participate in the Christmas Market. Due to the popularity of this event, the 2016 market has been expanded to include two days of operations and more booth spaces for artisans selling handmade items. The Christmas Market will take place in the evening during the trolley tours on Friday, December 9, 2016 AND Sunday, December 11, 2016. The fee to participate is $35. The application is attached.
December 9th and 11th - Annual Holiday Lights Trolley Tours - the tours will leave from the parking lot in front of the Bush Tabernacle at 250 S. Nursery Ave. Tours take place on Friday, December 9th from 6:00PM – 10:00PM with the last trolley leaving at approximately 9:00PM and again on Sunday, December 11the from 5:00PM – 9:00PM with the last trolley leaving at approximately 8:00PM. Tickets for tours will be handed out on a first come first serve basis the night of each tour; tours last approximately 45 minutes. Join us for a ride through Purcellville to look at the beautiful display of lights!
