On behalf of the men and women of the Town of Purcellville Police Department, I welcome you to our web page. Our Police Department prides itself on providing 24 hour, 7 days a week patrol coverage to the Town. Patrol officers are first responders to all law enforcement calls for service within the Town of Purcellville. Our patrol officers enforce traffic violations, investigate vehicle crashes, and manage traffic complaints. Officers also handle criminal investigations, domestic related events, service calls, and nuisance complaints. Our officers are committed to ensuring high quality of life standards are enjoyed by all who live, work or visit Purcellville.
Community engagement is the cornerstone of our policing philosophy and we strongly believe in the partnership between the police and the public. Serving at the Police Department, there are sixteen sworn Police Officers, an Accreditation Manager, and an Administrative Assistant/Records Manager; our team collaborates with community members through the Volunteers in Police Services (VIPS) program. VIPS members support the department through a variety of activities including but not limited to Internships, Customer Service Specialists, Language Interpreters, Police Chaplains, Child Safety Seat Inspectors, and more.
